Description and Purpose
The Mixing Unit is the most important part of any modern ventilation system with a water heater. It provides the supply of the necessary volume of coolant, thereby ensuring the heating of supply air to the required temperature.
The Mixing Unit, being an integral part of the heat exchanger module, largely determines the quality of the ventilation system operation as a whole. Its main purpose is safe control of heat exchanger power in supply ventilation units, which allows protecting equipment and significantly increasing energy efficiency.
Execution Options
Eurovent Production Association manufactures mixing units for central air conditioners and air curtains in Standard and Standard Plus (special execution) versions.
Special execution refers to supply and supply-exhaust units of non-standard configuration: corrosion-resistant, with air direction change, horizontal-vertical execution, with remote fan group.

Circulation Pump
Ensures continuous circulation of coolant through the heat exchanger.
Three-way Valve
With electric actuator. Controls coolant temperature before the heat exchanger.
Filter
For cleaning supply water and protecting fittings.
Instrumentation
Indicating thermometers and pressure gauges for parameter monitoring.
Control Valves
Valves and return dampers for precise flow regulation.
Shut-off Valves
Ball valves for disconnecting the unit from the heating network.
Principle of Operation
Using a three-way valve, hot coolant (from the heating network, from the boiler) is mixed with cooled (after the heat exchanger), thereby ensuring smooth regulation of the heat exchanger power. If it is necessary to operate at full power, the valve fully opens the direct channel.
If full power is not required, the three-way valve mixes in part of the cooled water, smoothly lowering the supply temperature. With excess power, water circulates only along the small circuit.
Important: To avoid lack of flow in the boiler circuit, the unit is equipped with a bypass with a check valve and a control valve. The bypass equalizes pressure and prevents water cooling in the boiler circuit.
